A Refreshed, Rested Look with Botox™ in Fort Lauderdale,
by Ana Leon, NP

A real Sisu patient at our Fort Lauderdale clinic. Forehead and glabella treated with Botox™ by Ana Leon, NP. Photographed at the two-week follow-up.

The concern

The patient came to our Fort Lauderdale clinic looking to soften visible dynamic lines across her upper face — forehead lines, the "11s" between her brows, and the crow's feet at the outer corners of her eyes. She wanted a smoother, refreshed appearance, but she was clear about what she didn't want: anything that looked frozen, overdone, or that compromised her natural expression. Preserving her smile was particularly important to her. The patient is an athlete with significant sun exposure and stronger muscle activity than average, which had contributed to more pronounced dynamic lines and made treatment planning especially important. A standard dosing approach wouldn't have addressed her muscle strength — and over-treating wouldn't have respected her expressive features.

The consultation

Ana assessed all three areas of the upper face together rather than treating each in isolation — a clinical decision driven by the patient's specific anatomy. Treating the forehead alone in a patient with strong muscle activity can leave the glabella overactive and pull the brow down. Treating the glabella alone can leave the crow's feet untouched and visually unbalance the upper face. Treating all three areas together, in proportion, produces a result that reads as harmonised rather than spot-treated. The dosing plan was 110 units of Dysport distributed strategically across the forehead, glabella and crow's feet — calibrated to the patient's muscle strength rather than a standard chart. The placement was equally important: enough to soften the dynamic lines, conservative enough to preserve full natural movement, brow position, and facial expression.

The treatment

The appointment took around 25 minutes from start to finish. Dysport was administered using a fine needle technique with multiple small injection points across the forehead, glabella and crow's feet. The patient left the clinic the same day with no visible marks and returned to her normal routine immediately. No bruising, no downtime.

Results at two weeks

The two-week photograph shows a noticeably smoother forehead, softened glabella, and reduced crow's feet — all in proportion to one another. The brow position is preserved, the eyes look more open and rested, the smile remains full and natural, and the patient retains every bit of her expressive range. There is no frozen appearance, no heaviness in the brow, and no change to her resting expression. The upper face reads as harmonised rather than treated.

A word from Ana Leon, NP

My philosophy with neurotoxins is always enhancement, never alteration. I specialize in creating elegant, natural-looking results that help patients look refreshed, rested, and beautiful while still looking completely like themselves.

Common questions about Botox™ in Fort Lauderdale

How many units of Botox™ are needed for the glabella?

The glabella ("11s" between the brows) typically requires between 15 and 25 units, depending on muscle strength and the patient's goals. The exact dose is determined at consultation by your Sisu provider after assessing your muscle activity in both expression and at rest.

Should the forehead and glabella be treated together?

In most cases, yes. Treating the forehead in isolation can leave the glabella overactive, which can pull the brow downward and create an unbalanced result. Most experienced providers recommend treating both areas as a pair to preserve natural brow position and a balanced look.

Can Botox™ soften deep frown lines that are visible at rest?

Botox™ works best on dynamic lines — those caused by muscle movement. Lines that are already etched in at rest may soften gradually as the muscle relaxes over a series of treatments, but deeply set static lines sometimes benefit from being treated alongside other modalities like a skin booster. Your provider will discuss the right approach at consultation.

Where can I get Botox™ in Fort Lauderdale with Sisu?

Sisu Clinic Fort Lauderdale offers Botox™ and Dysport™ treatments with experienced providers including Ana Leon, NP and Johana Castillo, PA Free consultations are available at every Sisu U.S. location.

Is Dysport better than Botox™ for stronger muscle activity?

Dysport and Botox™ are both neurotoxin treatments with similar core mechanisms, but they spread slightly differently in the tissue and have different unit-to-effect ratios. Some providers prefer Dysport for patients with stronger muscle activity or larger treatment areas because of its diffusion characteristics. The right choice is made at consultation based on the patient's anatomy and goals.
