What is the difference between Botox and Profhilo?

Profhilo and Botox are all popular non-surgical "lunchtime" procedures to freshen the face at SISU Aesthetic Clinic. These treatments require no downtime and are non-invasive yet super effective, hence why they’re SISU’s most popular anti-ageing and rejuvenating treatments!

But, have you ever wondered what the difference between Botox and Profhilo is? We are here to educate you about the two treatments separately and show you how good of a result you can get from getting Botox and Profhilo together! Let’s start by diving headfirst into learning about some of Sisu's most popular procedures!

BOOK YOUR TREATMENT!

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is an injectable treatment that targets skin laxity issues and addresses skin quality, tone, and texture problems. Profhilo is a high-concentration, stabilised Hyaluronic Acid which works under the dermis of your skin to increase the skin’s natural collagen regeneration by p to 12 times!

This novel hybrid HA (low molecular weight + high molecular weight HA) distributes itself securely and uniformly in all three layers of the skin after being injected superficially into the dermis through 5 small injections defined by a clinically tested technique.

At SISU Clinic, our experienced doctor’s are professionals at distributing Profhilo so that it works below the skin’s surface, and targets your skin from within.

What are the benefits of Profhilo?

What is the difference between Botox and Profhilo?

  • Profhilo revitalises cells from the inside out promoting healthy skin function and increasing collagen, elastin, and HA synthesis in fatigued, injured, or ageing skin.

  • Profhilo's bio-remodelling advantages are valued by patients as a perceptible increase in general skin quality and young elasticity (more radiant, smoother, bouncier, and hydrated skin) without affecting facial characteristics.

  • At Sisu Clinic, our doctors use Profhilo to rejuvenate skin in the face, neck, décolletage and body ( most popularly your hands ).
  • Profhilo can also be an effective way of reducing acne scarring.

What is Botox?

So, you’re all clued in about what Profhilo is and what it does to your skin - now you could be wondering, what is Botox and how does it work? In simplest terms, Botox is an injectable muscle relaxant that acts locally to minimise facial expression muscles' excessive creasing and wrinkling of the skin. Frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet are examples of upper-face wrinkles.

Botox is the world’s most popular anti-ageing treatment and it is used by thousands of patients every month at SISU Aesthetic Clinic to both prevent such wrinkles and lines from forming in the future as well as tackling the signs of ageing you may be currently experiencing.

Botox is often injected into the forehead area to reduce wrinkles but what else can Botox do?

What is the difference between Botox and Profhilo?

  • The Nefertiti neck lift is also a popular Botox treatment that works by improving muscle balance in the ageing neck area. As you may or may not be aware, females show the first signs of ageing in their neck/décolletage area so it’s important to tackle these sections first if you’re going for a more youthful appearance.
  • Injecting Botox in specialised areas can also lead to facial slimming.  This is called the “masseter muscle” Botox, which also helps with teeth-grinding. This is both a medical procedure as it can stop you from damaging your tooth’s enamel, but it also simultaneously reduces the width of your lower jawline making it look slimmer.
  • Botox can also be used to tackle excessive sweating and migraine issues!
